McKenzie SewOn is a screenprint, embroidery, and creative servcies company that has been in business for almost 30 years. Although their specialty is promoting other companies brands, they never gave much thought to their own.
In the beginning of 2015 they decided it was time they revamped their brand and collateral. I was charged with leading the rebranding team and developing the new look and feel.
The challenge was to create a logo that was multi-dimensional, meaning that it would be strong standing by itself, as well as work well in the background as the company promoted the products and stories of their clients. They wanted to have a icon that would be utilized by itself as well as a with a wordmark. Considering the amount of name and logo changes that the company has gone through in it’s history, we wanted to create a mark that would last.
